Ukraine, then Poland; Russia versus USA with UK: the escalation route to WW3 in the Ukraine (or any future) crisis.

Lecturer: Dr Marek Laskiewicz

This is an academic lecture at PUNE, Polana Universitas in Exteris.

Synopsis
As predicted in his 1992 book “Russian and World War III”, republished in 2014 as “Russia WW3?” [RWW3], Ukraine will most likely become the flashpoint for a West war.  As also predicted there, it will be confronting a revanchist Russia led by a de facto dictator, who did indeed arise in 1999, President Vladimir Putin.

As elsewhere predicted in his 2001 book, “World War 3: a military analysis”, republished in 2015 as “World War III”, the course the war will follow is that of MAD [Mutually Assured Destruction].  Thus  ironically MAD will not save the world; instead it provides an escalation route to a strategic thermonuclear exchange.

Every step to a new phase will seem small and justifiable; every action at a given phase will be seen as defensive and necessary.  There will be no strategic nuking at the outset of the crisis – instead the WW3 escalation will actually be via MAD.

This is how the Ukrainian crisis could develop; likewise any future West-Russia crisis, say over the Kaliningrad enclave.  In any case the nuclear battlefield will be Poland, which is now facing utter destruction.  Such a war will suffice to ‘terminate’ the world.
